Photos and 3D model: TheRobotStudio / Hugging Face SO-ARM100, Apache-2.0. Model simplified and recoloured by GSF.
The SO-101 is the reference arm of LeRobot, Hugging Face's open-source robot learning library. It comes as a pair: you move the leader arm by hand and the follower copies it in real time.
Record 50 or so demonstrations of a task, like picking up a block and putting it in a box. Train a policy such as ACT on a single GPU, and the follower does the task by itself. Datasets and models can be shared on the Hugging Face Hub.
It is the cheapest serious way we know to teach robot learning. We can assemble and calibrate the pair for you, and run a hands-on workshop for your team or class.

Features
What SO-101 does
- Leader–follower teleoperation
- Guide the leader arm by hand. The follower mirrors every joint.
- Train real policies
- ACT, Diffusion Policy, SmolVLA, Pi0 and more, all built into LeRobot.
- Same calibration everywhere
- A policy trained on one SO-101 runs on another, so a class can share models.
- Open hardware
- Printable parts, STEP CAD and a MuJoCo model are all public. Broken parts are cheap to replace.

From us
What we add to the hardware
- Assembly and calibration
- We can build, calibrate and test robot arms and mobile robots before they reach you.
- Classes and workshops
- We have taught robot basics to vocational students and run a primary-school robotics club. We can do the same for your school or team.
- Support in Thai
- Questions, spare parts and repairs, handled by the engineers who sold it to you.
- Custom software
- Need the robot to do something specific? We are a software house too.
